The Mission
Cultivating Multicultural Alliances facilitates opportunities for personal growth and social transformation. CMA brings people together to build multicultural agendas based on common goals and reciprocity. The work of CMA honors and validates the many ways in which we are culturally different and unique, and at the same time we help identify our many commonalities and the ways we are interdependent.


 
Is CMA For Me?
  • CMA educational dialogue workshops are designed to be is direct, yet flexible. Each workshop is specially designed to be unique journeys.
  • We start with you, the needs of the client.
  • CMA works with you to identify your needs and then co designs the approach with you rather than coming in with a set agenda, or a one- size-fits- all solution.
  • CMA works with non- profits, the work place, educational and cultural arts institutions.

In Maine CMA is frequently asked to provide workshops that address issues of race, class, xenophobia, nepotism, international adoptions, international students, refugees resettlements, race, culture, bi-racial relationships, class, multiethnic family dynamics, sexual orientaion and the multicultural work place. Although not soley indicative to Maine, much of these dynamics are based on growing pains, assumptions and fear of the unknown.
